From the blog: Choosing winners and losers by recommending to policy makers the disclosure of only extremely dense tissue to patients because of inconvenience, even when solutions abound, is woefully out of touch with the sole purpose of screening. Until the breast screening community embraces tailored screening for women with dense breast tissue to reduce risk of advanced disease, preventable fatalities will continue.
